Angeline R. Strebig
1922-2023
Angeline R. (Judnic) Strebig, 100, of Medford, died Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Aspirus Care and Rehab. while under the care of Hope Hospice. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 17 at Hemer-Pickerign Funeral Home in Medford with Rev. Paul Woods, officiating. She was laid to rest next to her husband, Clarence, at Evergreen Cemetery II, Medford.
Visitation was from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Angeline was born June 11, 1922 in the Town of Greenwood, at the family farmstead to Joseph and Mary (Mauser) Judnic. She attended schools in Rib Lake.
On Sept. 20, 1941, she married Clarence Strebig in Medford. They resided in Arcadia for several years, then moved back to the Medford area. Angeline was a homemaker. Later in life she went to work at Phillips Plastics until her retirement. She enjoyed eating out with a group of friends from work, she called them her “Plastic Friends.”
Angie enjoyed long walks, word puzzles, gardening and baking with her grandchildren and was affectionately called “Cake Grandma.” She took pride in her well-maintained flower beds.
She is survived by three sons, Clarence “Sonny” (Arlene) Strebig of Fond du Lac, Donald (Connie) Strebig of Eaton, Ohio, Steven (Laura) Strebig of Medford; a sister, Rose Schilling of Chicago; grandchildren, Pam (Tim) Hildebrandt, Sheila (Duane) Killam, Jeremiah Strebig, Nicole Strebig, Travis (Jessica) Strebig, Elijah and Levi Strebig; six greatgrandchildren, Hayden Hildebrandt, Ava, Devon and Nolan Killam, McKinley Strebig, and Lola Strebig; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence on March 6, 1999; brothers, Joe, Carl, Clarence, Harvey and Lester Judnic; sisters, Mary Nezval, Betty Imbach, and one sister in infancy; daughter-in-law, Debra.
