Fused glass, one-of-a kind furniture pieces, watercolor paintings, pottery, meditation mandalas, creatures made from silverware -- all these items and hundreds more will be on display and for sale during this weekend’s annual Clark County Spring into the Arts tour. Tour dates are April 23 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and April 24 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Locations are spread throughout the county, with a fullcolor map and brochure available at clarkcountywi.org.

This year’s tour features three dozen artists, some of them showing their displays at their home studios, while other congregate at central locations including the Clark Cultural Arts Center in Neillsville, the Christine Center south of Willard, The Highground veterans memorial park west of Neillsville, Munson Bridge Winery northwest of Withee, and Red Daisy Girl in Owen.

Many of the tour artists are Clark County residents, although some out-of-county ones will be bringing their creations to sites along the tour. The tour was initiated several years ago as a way to draw attention to the talents of multiple Clark County residents. The tour has grown each spring, with several art studios on the tour every year since the inception and others joining through the years. There is no admission fee and tour attendees can visit the artists in any order they wish. Artists will be selling many of their creations, which will range from homemade goat milk soap to recycled metal sculptures to palm wax candles.
