He was born to Rolland and Joyce (Harder) Pitzke on Dec. 30, 1964, in Marshfield.
Rod loved Fords, Budweiser, bourbon and a good steak. His favorite thing was to spend time with his wife and daughter. He was part of the Loyal Mini Rodders club for 39 years and looked forward to spending time with his minirod family. Every morning he made sure to get his “morning loves” with Daisy, the family’s beloved dog. Rod had his own carpentry business for the last 20 years. He enjoyed working with wood, but finish carpentry was his favorite, and he took pride in everything he did. His quick wit and big heart will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Brenda; daughter, Chanice; siblings, Ralph (Jean), Linda (Larry) Kreklau, Bonnie Nagle, Randy (Barb); mother and father-in-law, Elaine, and Clarence Brunke; sister-in-law, Lisa (Kevin) Steevens; brother-in-law, Shawn Brunke; and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home is assisting the family.
