Brian David Geiger was born on April 5, 1965, in Marshfi eld, to Leo J. and Dorothy G. (nee Kroening) Geiger. He was raised and received his education in Loyal, graduating from Loyal High School in 1983. After high school, Brian worked at Grassland Dairy Products in Greenwood for a short time, before going to work for Smith Feeds in Loyal, driving truck. Brian was united in marriage to Sarah A. Bertz on Sept. 19, 1987, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal. He later returned to Grassland, where he worked in maintenance for many years until retiring due to his health. Brian was a hard-working man who provided for his family, with an unwavering faith that things “will be okay” during tough times. He had many interests, but especially loved making Sarah laugh, spending time with his grandkids, and surprising them by picking them up at school, or taking them to the Dollar General Store for a junk food run. Brian also loved airplanes, going to air shows and seeing the Blue Angels fly. He loved yard work, flowers, landscaping, fishing, cooking and pickling with Dylan, the Packers, taking care of the veterans memorial at Westside Park in Loyal, and his yellow Lab, Gus. Brian was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal, and served as an EMT for the Loyal Ambulance Service for more than 20 years.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Sarah, of Loyal; his children: Teah (Luke) Morrow of Granton, and Dylan (fiancé Rachel Mezera) Geiger of Minnetonka, Minn.; his grandchildren: Lennox and Wes Morrow; his father: Leo Geiger of Marshfield; his siblings: Sharon (Randy) Hendrickson of Wild Rose, Lavon (Roger Ellison) Lindner of Loyal, Karen (Edward) Haslow of Independence, Ohio, Marvin (Karleen) Geiger of Weston, Alan (Carol) Geiger of Huntertown, Ind., Vern (Donna) Geiger of Mesa, Ariz., and Kevan Geiger of Brule, Neb.; his mother-in-law: Joan Bertz of Loyal; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
