Travis Grubbs named new Rib Lake School District Administrator
Travis Grubbs has been named as Rib Lake’s new District Administrator.
At last week’s Rib Lake School Board meeting board members approved a contract for Grubbs.
He will officially take over as district administrator in July after the retirement of current administrator Rick Cardey.
Travis Grubbs was born and raised in Virginia and attended the College of William and Mary, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry.
He began his education career teaching science and coaching football in rural North Carolina. He also met his wife, Jamie, teaching in North Carolina, and after a couple of years, they moved to Chicago.
He taught chemistry, AP chemistry, and was the head football coach at UIC College Prep. In their sixth year there, they had their first child Madeline and decided they wanted to move closer to family and raise their child in a more rural area.
They then moved to Stratford, and he worked for one year in Cadott teaching chemistry, AP chemistry, and AP physics. Following that year, he was able to transition to Stratford combining his passions of educational leadership, youth development, and coaching into his current role as Dean of Student and Activities Director at Stratford.
