Beverly J. Thomsen

1934-2 022 Beverly J. Thomsen, 88, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at Marshfield Medical Center on July 22, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. She was born to George and Helen (Nernberger) Meier on July 18, 1934. She married William Thomsen in 1952. He passed away in 1962. Together they farmed, and after he passed, Bev had various jobs including babysitting, cooking and working at Marathon Cheese. She was a member of the Dorchester Legion Auxiliary. Bev enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to polka music and playing cards with her friends at the Donald Sykes Villa in Stratford. Her favorite treat was the chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting, just like her mother made when she was a girl.

She is survived by her children, Greg Thomsen of Mellen, Patti (Bill Kaiser) Thomsen of Stratford, Gary Thomsen of Dorchester, and Paula (Jerry) Brost of Wausau. She is further survived by eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Bill; parents; three sisters; and two brothers.
