Ricky Stuttgen
Ricky Alan Stuttgen, age 49, DeForest, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, surrounded by his loving family after a short but hard fight with brain cancer.
HewasbornonSeptember 6, 1972, to Charles and Darla (Halopka) Stuttgen. Rick married Cindy Schneider on October 17, 1998, in Wausau.
Rick graduated from NTC in 1992. He worked for GTE and was an engineer for Mid Plains Telephone and TDS for the last 25 years.
He was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and bird hunting. He was also very active in his kids’ lives, whether it was coaching baseball, wrestling, softball and soccer. He always looked forward to camping trips with family and Canada fishing trips.
Rick is survived by his wife, Cindy; children: Karly (Kevin Rauls) Stuttgen and Jared (Avery Melter) Stuttgen, all of DeForest; parents, Charles and Darla Stuttgen, Milan; siblings: Lori (Aaron) Ellerman of Merrill, Paty (Wally) Bogseth of Greenwood, Paul (Lisa) Stuttgen of Stratford, Jill (Lance) Bloch of Abbotsford, Katy (Jon Eberhardt) Stuttgen of Athens and Cody (Stephanie) Stuttgen of Wausau; motherin- law, Marcy Lange; step-mother-in-law, Sandy Schneider; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by brothers: Ryan and Chad Stuttgen, and father-in-law, Donald Schneider.
The family would like to thank the community of DeForest for all their love and support. They would also like to thank the wonderful staff at Agrace Hospice.
A Mass of Christian burial was held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022, at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, Sun Prairie.
