John Lapp

John G. Lapp, age 89, of Dorchester, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the Colonial Center in Colby.

A celebration gathering will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Interment to follow at the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.

John was born on January 26, 1933, the son of Charles and Mathilda (Stasek) Lapp in the Town of Mayville, Clark County. He attended Hilltop Grade School and graduated from Dorchester High School. John was a passionate dairy farmer, hauled milk and worked at Cloverhill Cheese Factory.

John is survived by his two siblings: Doris Graham of Marshfield and James (Patricia) Lapp of Burlington; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Helen Lapp in infancy and Charlene Stoiber.
