William ‘Bill’ Jordan William ‘Bill’ Jordan

William “Bill” Jordan, 81, Tomah, formerly of Willard, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, May 9, at Queen of the Apostles Parish in Tomah. Burial followed in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Bill was born on Jan. 16, 1941, in Willard, to Ludwig and Elizabeth (nee Scharenbrock) Jordan. He married the love of his life, Sandra Serie, on Sept. 16, 1961, in Browersville, Minn. He was a faithful member of the Queen of the Apostles Parish and a member of the Knights of Columbus for more than 50 years. He enjoyed working bingo, Cranfest and any other events that were held. Bill most recently worked at Farnams of New Lisbon, but following his retirement, he still needed something to do. That led him to work for Alderman Properties until 2004. Bill was a handyman who loved to keep busy doing projects. He was a talented carpenter who built many houses from the ground up, including the house in which he currently lived. Bill was the kind of guy you could call when you needed help; there was no task too big or small that he wasn’t willing to help with. Bill loved to joke and enjoyed being a winter Texan with his wife, Sandy. His greatest pride and joy was his family. He was extremely proud of his daughters, grandkids and greatgrandkids. Bill cherished all the time he got to spend with those he loved. His bad “dad” jokes will forever be remembered.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Sandy; his daughters: Karla (Dean) Bekkum and their children, Jonathan (Kristina) and Adam (Amanda); Karen (Rick) Hollingsworth and their children, Jon (Rebecca), Shawn, Alicia (Jeff), and Kara; Kelly (Richard) Honish and their children, Ryan (Jolynn), Nicole (Derrick), Holly, Sarah (Conner), and Aaron (Anna); Kristi (James) Nee and their son, James III (Matt); and Kathie (Larry) Johnson and their sons, Josh (Misti), and William (Kristen); his bonus daughter and sister-in-law, Laurie (Garrett) Serie Zimmerman; his greatgrandchildren: Sienna, Zoe, Bentley, Maverick, Xander, Ethyn, Evan, Kane, Kirsten, Kollin, Kalvin, Declan, Braelyn, Brylee, Eilze, and Sanka; his sister, Betty Schmidt of Loyal; his brothers-in-law: Bill (Linda) Serie, Terry Serie and Dennis (Jane) Serie; his sister-in-law: Rebecca (John) Miller; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his infant son, Keith; his sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine (Joe); his brother-in-law: Bernie; his brother and sister-inlaw: Rudy (Virginia); his brother-in-law: Michael; his in-laws: Arnold and Eileen; and his son-in-law: David.
