Car flipped over
CRASH REPORTS
Matthew Bennett Zawacki, 24, of Gilman, was traveling northbound on CTH M, approaching a left curve, on April 19, at 5:20 a.m., in the town of Grover. Zawacki stated he fell asleep at the wheel and entered the northeastern ditch at the intersection of CTH M and Rahmel Ln. Zawacki awoke and attempted to correct and overcorrected and rolled, coming to rest on the fog line. Zawacki was not injured, although he was issued a citation for failure to keep vehicle under control. Zawacki’s vehicle was towed due to disabling damage.
Anthony D. Studinger, 66, of Medford was stopped in the parking lot lane behind Franklin Leroy Raymond, 90, of Abbotsford, on April 20, at 5:35 p.m. Raymond was in a parking stall and was backing out to leave. Studinger saw Raymond and began to back and used his horn. However Raymond did not see Studinger and continued backing. Raymond’s vehicle collided with Studinger’s vehicle at low speed causing a dent in the front, right door of Studinger’s vehicle.
Viola Dorothy Downing, 85, of Medford, was traveling northbound on Billings Ave., just north of Broadway Ave, on April 22, at 2:17 p.m., in the city of Medford. Downing left the roadway just north of Wheelock Ave., due to unknown reasons and struck a utility pole, causing significant damage to the utility pole and disabling damage to the front end of Downing’s vehicle, causing it to be towed. Downing was injured in this crash and transported to Aspirus Medford Hospital by EMS Ground.
The following car versus deer accidents were reported: Tiffany May Acker, 22, of Medford, on April 17, at 9:39 p.m. on Hwy 73, in the town of Taft; Oscar Zamora Jacinto, 40, of Dorchester, on April 21, at 4:45 a.m., on Hwy 13, in the town of Deer Creek.
