Benjamin Sternhagen

Benjamin “Ben” James Sternhagen succumbed to his internal turmoil in the early hours on April 17, 2022, at the age of 38.

Ben was born July 12, 1983, in Wausau, to Sheri Sternhagen. He grew up in Rhinelander and graduated from Rhinelander High School in 2001. He loved science, nature and carpentry. He worked in various construction environments, which is how he met his beloved wife, Marie. The two were married August 20, 2016, in Ogema. The family moved to Colby in August, 2017.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marie; sons: Devon, Kale, Taren, Tristen, Tevin, Taylan and Tegan; his mother, Sheri Pingel; his father, Tim Warosh; and his sister, Amanda Sternhagen, as well as numerous family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his stepfather, Terry.

Ben was the life of the party, known for his booming voice, brilliant smile and infectious laugh. He was passionate about everything he did. He will always be loved and will never be forgotten.

He will be cremated and a celebration of his life will take place on April 30, 2022, at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford from 2-4 p.m.
