Medford Area Senior High winter sports awards announced

Coaches of the Medford Raiders’ winter sports teams presented awards to players in the boys and girls basketball, curling, gymnastics, boys and girls hockey and wrestling programs:

Boys basketball

Head coach Ryan Brown named Joe Sullivan the Relentless Player of the Year, Sam Blair and Steve Hraby the co-Ultimate Teammates and Tanner Hraby and Charlie Kleist the co-Most Improved Players. Gymnastics

Head coach Steve Cain named Makala Ulrich (floor), Kate Malchow (vault), Avery Purdy (beam) and Shayla Radlinger (bars) the Most Improved Gymnasts. Cain named Kyla Krause the Most Dedicated Gymnast and Purdy was the winner of the Raider Award. Co-head coaches Scott Brandner and Jenna Wieting named Alyssa Brandner the Most Valuable Player, Victoria Konieczny the Most Improved Player and Skylier Krueger the winner of the Raider Character Award. Kyla Kennedy was named the Offensive Player of the Year and Delaney Hraby was named the Defensive Player of the Year.
