CRASH REPORTS

Delores Schmidt, 85, of Medford was at church when her vehicle was struck by another vehicle, while parked on E. Lincoln St. The other vehicle and the manner in which it struck Schmidt’s vehicle are unknown.

Tavarra L. Ellison, 40, of Rushford, Minn, was legally parked and unoccupied. An unknown vehicle struck the left side of Ellison’s vehicle at an unknown date and time causing minor damage.

Brandon Joseph Krueger, 28, of Colby was parked at Cindy’s Bar and Grill parking lot on March 19, at 2:27 a.m. Krueger was parked next to a vehicle that was owned by Chad Steven Williams of Medford. Krueger got into his vehicle to leave, while a pedestrian attempted to open the passenger side front door of Krueger’s vehicle. Krueger began backing up with passenger side front door open, as well as pedestrian standing on passenger side running board. Krueger struck William’s vehicle which was still parked in the rear quarter panel. Krueger left the scene without the pedestrian. Krueger received citations for hit and run-unattended vehicle, unsafe backing of vehicle, and failure of operator to notify police of accident.

Mason Robert Hoops, 16, of Medford was driving west on Broadway Ave., on March 22, at 3:34 p.m., in the City of Medford. Kayden Jay Dassow, 18, of Medford was in the west most driveway to the Medford Area Senior High School. There were two school buses in the westbound right turn lane. Dassow was at the stop sign and pulled out without being able to see Hoop’s vehicle. Hoop braked but was unable to avoid a collision. Hoop’s vehicle sustained disabling damage to the left, front wheel. Dassow drove east on Broadway Ave., about 100 yards, and then pulled over and stopped, got out of his vehicle, looked back towards the crash scene, then immediately got back into his vehicle and left the scene. Dassow did not make any attempt to report the accident. Dassow was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way from stop sign and another citation for hit and run.

Faith Marie Nowak, 16, of Curtiss, was traveling northbound on CTH E, on March 24, at 7 a.m., in the town of Little Black. Nowak lost control of her vehicle due to icy snow covered roads. Nowak entered the east ditch and came to rest facing west. Vehicle was towed due to disabling damage.

Lakyn Katherine Thompson, 18, of Thorp, was traveling southbound on Hwy 73, on March 14, at 10:30 a.m., in the town of Ford. The vehicle slid off the east side of the roadway. The vehicle sustained front end damage. Failure to control was a factor in the accident.

Stephanie Lynn Schmudlach, 25, of Rib Lake, was backing out of a parking stall in the Medford Area Elementary School parking lot, on March 9, at 3:25 p.m., in the city of Medford. While she was backing up, the rear passenger side corner of Schmudlach’s vehicle struck the front passenger side bumper of a legally parked vehicle owned by Jessica Lynn Olwell, 32, of Medford. Schmudlach continued to back up scraping the whole front bumper of Olwell’s vehicle and causing Olwell’s vehicle to shift over. Schmudlach received a citation for operating while suspended.
