The officer told the female he would attempt to contact all phones numbers provided.

The following day the female received another threatening message through email. The female put her hands in the air while the officer approached. The female driver rolled her window down and the officer asked why she had attempted to drive away from him. The female driver stated because of the unmarked vehicle she believed it was the business owner. The female told the offi cer she saw it was an officer when he stepped out of the unmarked vehicle and stopped.

The officer advised her to remove the keys from ignition and give them to him. The officer asked the female driver if there were any weapons in the vehicle and she provided two pocket knives.

The officer asked the female driver to explain what she was doing at the business. The female was hesitant, then stated her ex-boyfriend had been following around Abbotsford for hours and he has a no contact order with her.

The male individual who opened the door told the officer he had no idea what the male was talking about and thought it was some misunderstanding. He also told the officer the male was yelled at him, hit him in the face with an open hand, yelled a bit more and left in a vehicle.

The male individual said he did not know the male party’s name but that he lives next door. The officer spoke to the one of the other male individuals who had been a witness to the confrontation and he said he was pushed as well by the male party.

The two officers then spoke to the manager of the building to watch the security cameras to see if they had captured the incident. The officers told the manager what they were looking for and she told them she knew about the situation. She explained she has been having issues with the residence where the incident occured and there was only suppose to be one resident staying there and the next door neighbors had been making complaints.

She explained the neighbor has a girlfriend and everytime she would come home there would be harrassement complaints.

The manager told the officers that one of the men cat calls her through the upstairs window and has a crush on her. She went on to explain the cat calling had been getting worse and creepier as the male would yell through the window that he is going to kidnap her as he wants her for himself.

The manager explained to the officers she was starting a process to have everyone staying at that residence be removed as they were causing issues and the other tenants had not have any issues the last couple years they have been living there.

The officers spoke to the family, with the woman who had been receiving the cat calls, to explain the manager was starting a process to remove the individuals and that if the harrassment continues to contact CAPD instead of trying to handle it themselves, as they might get into trouble. They acknowledged their understanding.
