Donna Garvey
Donna L. Garvey, age 80, formerly of Abbotsford, passed away on Monday, Feb. 14, 2022, at Aspirus Hospital in Stevens Point.
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 21, 2022, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Green Grove, Town of Colby. Pastor Don Bruce presided. Family and friends were welcomed from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the church. Interment followed at the Abbotsford Public Cemetery. Donna was born on Dec. 26, 1941, the daughter of David and Gladys (Richter) Nodorft in Platteville. She graduated from Platteville High School. Donna was united in marriage to Charles Garvey on Jan. 16, 1960, in Platteville. He preceded her in death on April 18, 1993. She worked at Land O’ Lakes in Spencer for 35 years.
Donna enjoyed bowling, golfing, Sudoku, jigsaw puzzles and going to the casino. Most importantly, she cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Donna is survived by her three daughters: Cheri (Dennis) Fairbert of Marshfield, Lori (Kurt) Zenner of Medford and Deeann (Michael) Teubert of Eau Claire; nine grandchildren: Amanda, Hali, Derek, Aaron, Morgan, Stacy, Matthew, Nathan and Nicole; seven great-grandchildren: Allison, Hunter, Rocsen, Tyler, Bailey, Keegan and Aiden. She is further survived by three siblings: Dennis (Cindy) Nodorft of Freeport, Fla., Susanne (Hubert) Heins of Belmont and Craig (Chris) Nodorft of Fennimore; a daughter-inlaw, Therese Garvey of Amherst Junction; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Rodney; three siblings: Ronald Nodorft, Duane Nodorft and Diane Murphy; and a special friend, Kenneth Garvey.
