1944-2022

Larry James Ulczycki of Rib Lake passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Jan. 24, 2022. Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will take place at a later date. Larry was born Sept. 23, 1944 to Walter and Helen (Griffin) Ulczycki. Larry graduated from Rib Lake High School in 1962 and joined the Air Force. In 1965, he left the service and worked with his dad. Later he moved back to Rib Lake. He married Dorothy Turba in 1973. He worked many jobs. He eventually started his own lawn mowing and snow removal business. His daughters helped him with the business. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. His hobbies were bowling, cards, and taking the grandkids for ATV rides. Playing cribbage was a main part of his week.

Larry is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughters, Patty (Levi Lukes) Kauger and Susie (Ezra) Kazee both of Rib Lake; two grandchildren, Deanna and Dennis (DJ) Kazee; his siblings, Karen Peche of Carmel, Ind., Nancy (Dave Yeiter) Hill of St. James City, Fla.; Dave Ulczycki of Park Ridge, Ill., Charles (Jodi) Ulczycki of Williams Bay, brother- in-law, Andy Weinzatl of Rib Lake; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Weinzatl; brother, Tom; brothers-in-law, Ron Hill and Richard Peche; parents-in-law, Raymond and Katherine Turba and infant son, Frank Joseph.
