Joseph “Joe” M. Strama

1941-2022

Joseph “Joe” M. Strama, 80, of the township of Hammel, passed away unexpectedly at home, on Monday, Feb. 7, 2022. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Joe was born on Sept. 6, 1941 to Stanley and Josephine (Welsh) Strama in Medford. He married Judith “Judy” L. Ellis on Feb. 16, 1962 in Olivia, Minn. He owned and operated Strama Body Shop for more than 50 years. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, canning, gardening, and looking after his Christmas trees.

Joe is survived by his children, Jody (Lee) Scheithauer of Medford, Jane (Larry) Albrecht of Medford, Julie (Andy) Falencik of Appleton, Jennifer (Calvin) Becker of Stetsonville, and Josh (Kristi) Strama of Medford; grandchildren, Joe Lekie, Jordan Strama, Jared Zastrow, Gabriella (Brian) Howe, Josephine (Evan Konitzer) Falencik, and Hailey Strama; siblings, Mary Vanderhagen, Bruce Strama, and Sherry Eden; and his dog, Molly. Joe is further survived by other family and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judy; siblings, Jim Strama, Tom Strama, Richard Jacobsen, Janet Jordan, and Louise Olsen.
