Now, some of those works will be on display in a traveling mini art exhibit that will tour each of the nine MCPL locations this year. The mini art exhibit will debut at MCPL’s Wausau headquarters on Tuesday, Feb. 1, and will remain on display through the end of the month.

Book club
Join the Marathon City Branch Library staff and other book lovers on Monday, Feb. 14, 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. for an engaging discussion of “Evvie Drake Starts Over” by novelist Linda Holmes.
Here is a synopsis of the book: recently widowed Eveleth “Evvie” Drake rarely leaves her house nearly a year after her husband’s death in a car crash. Dean Tenney, former Major League pitcher, is wrestling with why he can’t throw straight anymore. When Andy moves into an apartment at the back of Evvie’s house, the two make a deal: Dean won’t ask about Evvie’s late husband, and Evvie won’t ask about Dean’s baseball career. Rules, though, have a funny way of being broken— and what starts as an unexpected friendship soon turns into something more.
