TOWN OF HAMMEL PERKINSTOWN AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS LAKE RIDGE ROADCTH E W8792 CENTER AVE MEDFORD, WI 54451 BID DUE DATE:

February 4th, 2022 at 2:00 PM Bids for the project designated above will be received by Point of Beginning, Inc. Bids will be received by Dan St. Pierre, Project Manager, Point of Beginning, 4941 Kirschling Court, Stevens Point, WI, 54481 before the time and date indicated above.

Description of Work: General work consists of improvements to Perkinstown Avenue from Lake Ridge Road to CTH E. Specific work consist of sawcuts; demolition; asphalt pavement removal; asphalt pavement pulverizing and relaying; stripping topsoil; common excavation; importing, placing, compacting gravel base as necessary per designed grades in preparation for paving asphalt; paving asphaltic binder and surface; performing proof roll of all gravel base areas; guardrail installation; restore “green areas” with topsoil, seeding, and mulching; inlet protection and silt fence installation and removal; coordination and scheduling with the Owner and miscellaneous items per plans/specifications Schedule: Work will commence no earlier than April 4, 2022 and shall be completed no later than June 24, 2022. Upon start of work, the contractor will have 21 calendar days to complete the work. Work will need to be coordinated with Town of Hammel to minimize disruption.

Procurement of Documents: Plans and other bidding documents may be obtained from the Engineer, Point of Beginning, Inc., (715)344-9999, 4941 Kirschling Court, Stevens Point, Wisconsin 54481. Hard Copy plans will be distributed after receipt of a $25.00 deposit if obtained at the office of Point of Beginning. If plans are to be mailed by the Engineer to a bidder, a $50.00 mailing fee shall be submitted to cover cost of printing, postage, and handling. Electronic copies may be requested at no cost by emailing Dan St. Pierre (Point of Beginning, Inc.) at the following address: dans@pobinc.com. Point of Beginning, Inc is responsible for distribution of addenda to only those that have requested project documents from Point of Beginning in formats described above.

Bid Security: All bids must be accompanied with a Bid Security Bond, Cashier’s Check, or Certified Check for the amount of 5% of the provided bid.

Bond Requirements: Successful contractors shall be required to provide Performance and Payment bonds, in the amount of 100% of the contract amount, at the time of awarded bid.

Owner’s Right to Reject Bids: The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all Bids.

Withdrawal of Bids: No bid shall be withdrawn until 60 days after the time stated for receipt of Bids.

CRASH REPORTS
On November 18 at 7:55 p.m., a vehicle operated by Hannah Dahl, 18, of Medford, was westbound on Hwy 64 in the city of Medford. A vehicle operated by Cassie Jo Wellman, 31, of Medford, was entering Hwy 64 from a driveway to make a left turn and go eastbound. Wellman stated she looked but did not see Dahl’s vehicle prior to entering traffic. The road was closed from the time of the crash to 8:26 a.m. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage. Wellman was transported by ambulance to Aspirus Medford Hospital for suspected minor injury. Dahl’s airbags deployed and according to the crash report she had suspected minor injury, but was not transported. MEDFORD POLICE DEPARTMENT
