Nine Falcons were selected for postseason honors, with two earning first team nods in the Marawood. Abbotsford had six second team selections, and four Falcons received honorable mentions.

Senior Ty Falteisek had an excellent 2021 campaign to end his four year career as a Falcon. Falteisek led the Marawood in rushing, compiling 1,527 yards and 16 touchdowns en route to first team honors in the backfield and a second team choice for outside linebacker.

Falteisek was also named Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) all-region - small at running back, and his senior season rushing yards ranks third all-time in program history.

Senior Devin Thums joins Falteisek on the first team as selection on the offensive line. In addition to being named first team OL, Thums was also awarded WFCA Academic All-State this season. In order to finish academic all-state a student must be a senior, must be a varsity letter winner and must have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher.

Sophomore JV Castillo took home two All-Marawood honors. Castillo was named to the Marawood second team as a defensive back, and was an honorable mention choice at quarterback. Castillo was second on the team in rushing with 917 yards, and was Abby’s leading passer with 148 yards and kick returner with 106 yards.

Senior Brandon Hawkey also took home two awards, being named second team as a defensive end, and honorable mention as a tight end.

Junior Brandon Diedrich was selected to receive second team honors at fullback/ tight end. Sophomore Carlos Lara was named second team for his play on the offensive line.

Sophomore Evan Schunk picked up second team honors at fullback/tight end. Junior Adam Diedrich and senior Garrett Short were named were both honorable mention selections on the offensive line. Abbotsford finished with an overall record of 8-5, including a 7-5 mark in the Marawood Conference based on forfeits from Owen-Withee, Thorp and Athens, who all dropped to 8-Man this year.
