DeAnn S. Olson, 57 of Jump River, died peacefully at home Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021with her family by her side under the care of Hope Hospice. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church-Jump River with Father Vijay Kumar officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Nebo Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.

She was born on Feb. 10, 1964 in Wausau to Leander and Sharon (Hopperdietzel) Lake. She grew up in the Medford area and graduated from Medford High in 1982. She married Henry “Bud” Olson on June 14, 1997 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church-Gilman.

She enjoyed spending time with family playing cards, caring for her children and her nephews and nieces, baking and cooking and in her spare time she loved to draw. DeAnn also enjoyed taking part in the Riverside home school group.

DeAnn is survived by her husband, Bud; her children, Caleb, Sarah, Luke and Nicholas; her father, Leander Lake of Medford; two brothers, Craig and Kurt (Michele) Lake; and her niece, Nikole Kasperek.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon.
