Shirley A. Kollmansberger, 83, Greenwood, passed away at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield on Monday, Oct. 25, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, Nov. 5, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal. Rev. Daniel Zimmerman will officiate, and interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Withee. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Shirley Ann Elstrom was born on the family farm in the town of Green Grove, Clark County, on Feb. 2, 1938, to Ole E. and Anna M. (nee Molle) Elstrom. She was raised on the family farm, received her grade school education at Colby Public, and graduated from Colby High School in 1956. Shirley was united in marriage to Robert M. Kollmansberger on July 14, 1956, at Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford. After her husband returned from the service, they farmed and raised their family in the town of Beaver, rural Loyal. They sold the farm in 1996, and moved to Greenwood. Shirley bartended at Scott’s Blue Mirror in Greenwood for several years, and later worked at Mayville’s Market in Greenwood, until its closing. She resided at her home in Greenwood until the time of her death. Shirley enjoyed many things throughout her life, including spending time with her family and friends, flower gardening, attracting birds to her feeders, crafting, sewing, paint by numbers, and spending time with her furry four-legged companion, Murry.

Shirley will be dearly missed by her children: Rhonda Hanson of Greenfield, Renee (Dean) Check of Ringle, Kurt (Cindy Gaetz) Kollmansberger of Greenwood, Kevin Kollmansberger of Wausau, and Regan (Garrett) Jochimsen of Eau Claire; 13 grandchildren: Lindsay Hanson, Jake Hanson, Jenna (Josh) Neumann, Kevin (Megan) Gast, Erin Spannan, Kody Kollmansberger, Kyle (Leah) Kollmansberger, Kasey Kollmansberger, Kelsea Kollmansberger, Ethan Wiechers, Aubrey Beck, Dylan Jochimsen, and Carly Jochimsen; five great-grandchildren: Brett, Beau, Millie, Bennett and Laikyn; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob, on Feb. 4, 2009; six sisters: Inez Rossi, Arlene Foker, Lorraine Contraes, Jeanette Frisoli, Evelyn Koski and Mildred Stephens; and five brothers: Glen, Donald, Charles and Duane Elstrom, and Russell Kellner.
