1934-2021

The world lost a great man on Oct. 20, 2021 when Bill Krueger, 86, of Rib Lake left us, just shy of his 87th birthday. He was kind, generous and compassionate and while he never wanted or sought recognition for it, much of his retirement was spent simply being there for and

Bill was born on the family farm in Rib Lake on Oct. 27, 1934 to Erwin and Anna (Zondlo) Krueger. He attended and graduated from Rib Lake High School and immediately began working, starting his career as a welder but moved on to other various jobs before retiring from Maple Island in Medford.

He married Joyce V. Jusenius on Sept. 23, 1955 in Medford and they had one son, Gary, of Colby, who survives. He is further survived by four grandsons, Matthew (Jessie) Krueger, Medford; Jason Krueger, Eau Claire and Joshua and Ryan Krueger, both of Marshfield. Bill is also survived by extended family, Patty and Rick Flora of Medford.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Harold; granddaughter, Bethany; and best friend, Russell Flora, who likely was waiting at the doors of heaven with a whiskey coke.

Chippewa Valley Cremation Services – Celebration of Life Center is assisting the family. Online condolences can be left at www.chippewavalleycremation. com helping others. Bill is now at rest. He didn’t want a service or “all that attention”, but his life should be honored. We invite others to join in on a happy hour honoring him on Friday, Oct. 29 between 3 and 6 pm. Feel free to join us in this celebration which will take place at Krueger’s Pioneer Farm, N7634 Lakeshore Drive, Rib Lake.
