Kelly Nosko
1956-2021
Kelly Nosko, age 64, passed away peacefully on Oct. 11, 2021 at CentraCare, St. Cloud, Minn. where he had been hospitalized with pneumonia. A celebration of life is planned for 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16 at Community Alliance Church in Withee with Rev. Andy Davis officiating. There will be refreshments and fellowship following the service. Interment of his cremated remains will take place at a time and date to be determined later.
Kelly was born on Dec. 1, 1956 in Medford to Irma M. (Nosko) Howsden and Stephen Nosko. He attended Owen-Withee Schools where he was a class of ’74 graduate. He went on to attend Eau Claire Technical College where he received an Associates Degree in Diesel Mechanics in 1976. He worked as a diesel mechanic at Schjoeneman’s in Medford, JW Perry in Merrill and a service writer at Truck Country in Mosinee.
Kelly was a strong yet gentle spirit who found joy in simple things and beauty in nature. He enjoyed traveling, fishing and had a lifelong interest in motorcycles and all things mechanical. He was a kind and loving husband and father who taught the value of hard work, being humble and generous, and how to appreciate the value of family. He was a beloved Papa to his grandchildren with whom he enjoyed playing Legos, completing puzzles, coloring and looking at pictures of wildlife and machinery.
He will be dearly missed.
Kelly is survived by his wife of 44 years Carol (Soper) Nosko; children Tony (Kristen) Nosko, of Rice, Minn., and Michelle (Chris) Haynes of Apple Valley, Minn.; six grandchildren, Serenity, Holly, Bailey, Isabelle, Ethan, and Nikolai; siblings, Mike (Lorraine) Nosko of Withee, Mark (Debra Visser) Nosko of Owen, Peggy (Al) Duda of Sullivan, Mo., and Bill (Marcia) Nosko of Saukville; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Judy Nosko.
