Darlene Wisniewski, age 81, of Maplehurst, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021 at her home with her family at her side, under the tender care of Hospice. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 8, 2021 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Black River Sportsman’s Club in Withee. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Friday at the Funeral Home. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen is entrusted with the arrangements.
Darlene was born on Feb. 27, 1940 in the Town of Holway, the daughter of Andrew and Ethel (Stephens) Krug. She attended Owen High School.
On Dec. 27, 1958, Darlene was united in marriage to Robert J. Wisniewski at Saint Stanislaus Rectory in Lublin. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2015. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant most of her adult life at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen. Darlene took her job as a CNA very serious and always wanted to make sure she took care of her patients the way she would want her parents to be cared for. She was an amazing seamstress, loved her flowers, feeding the hummingbirds and was always particular about keeping her house clean. She was nicknamed “Mrs. Clean.” Darlene cherished her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Darlene is survived by her three children Tammy (Dan) Goessl of Curtiss, Brian Wisniewski of Withee and Allen (Tara) Wisniewski of Medford; seven grandchildren Jeremy (Krista) Goessl, Russ Goessl, Jessica (Nick) Dolinsky, Gabrielle Goessl, Abigail (Mike) Fox, Brady (Morgan Boie) Wisniewski and Tia Wisniewski; three step-grandchildren Breanna Hansen, Brett Hoefs and Tyler Hoefs; five great-grandchildren Evelyn, Alainna, Ethan, Jack and Adalyne; three step-great-grandchildren Zander, Hendrix and Leo. She is further survived by three brothers William, Dale and Jerry Krug; three sisters Beatrice, Annabelle and Jane; nieces; nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert; two infant children Russell Dean and Mary Kay; and two brothers Dean Krug and George Krug.
