Christopher ‘Beaver’ Kauffman
Christopher J. “Beaver” Kauffman, 48, Greenwood, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021. All of his family, friends and co-workers are invited to gather and share memories of Chris on Friday, Oct. 8, from 4-7 p.m., at Life Tributes Funeral Home in Spencer. Chris’s wish was to have his family hold a simple and private committal service in a place that was special to him at a later date.
Chris was born on April 18, 1973, in Neillsville, the son of Richard and Dorothy (nee Triebs) Kauffman. He graduated from Loyal High School. Chris was employed as an operator for Trierweiler Construction in Marshfield. His hobbies included tending to his corn and soybean crops, and growing delicious vegetables and canning them. He loved his International tractors and collected them as well. For those who knew Beaver, you knew he was a great cook and his co-workers loved getting together with him around his smoker. Sometimes, the greatest thing for Chris was hanging out in his garage with the love of his life, his girlfriend Jenn Koenig.
He is survived by his siblings: Michelle (Layne) Jorgensen of Edinburg, Texas, Raquel Kauffman of Elroy, Tami (Michael) Anderegg of Great Falls, Mont., Roland (Jenny) Kauffman of Stratford, Reginald (Lisa Larson) Kauffman of Spencer, Jennifer Kauffman of Great Falls, Mont., Jerome (Dawn Larsen) Kauffman of Loyal, Kip (Jennifer) Kauffman of Stratford, Renee (Kevin Jensen) Ossmann of Rib Lake, and Mary (James) Bauman of Mosinee; his special love, Jenn Koenig; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Christopher was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Dorothy Kauffman; and a sibling named Tamra, in infancy.
