Donald Jablonicky Jr.
Donald Edward Jablonicky Jr., age 64, (better known as Don) passed away in his home in Flower Mound, Texas, on August 23, 2021.
Don was born April 7, 1957, to Donald Edward Jablonicky Sr. and Joanne M. Van Treek in Waukegan, Ill. Don graduated from Colby High School in 1975 and from the University of Wisconsin in Steven Point in 1981 where he met Julie. Don went on to graduate from Cardinal Stritch University with a masters of science, which he was rightfully proud of. He married the love of his life, Julie Margaret Dunn, on July 19, 1985. They lived in Menomonee Falls until 1988 when they moved to Bartlett, Ill., and worked in the Chicago Metroplex. They moved to Plano, Texas, in 1991, then on to Flower Mound in 1996 where Don had a successful career in finance. Don and Julie were blessed with a daughter, Mikayla Rae Jablonicky, on March 23, 1993. Don was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was awarded Rifle Marksman and was medically discharged with honors. In his heart, he was always a Marine.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Julie Jablonicky; his daughter, Mikayla Jablonicky (Kirsten); grandchildren: Alahna and Maxtyn; parents, Donald and Joanne Jablonicky; brothers: Mark (Vickie) Jablonicky and Lance Jablonicky; sister, Denise Yaron; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Don was laid to rest with full military honors on Sept 24, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. in the Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery, located at 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy in Dallas 75211. A Celebration of Life with a come and go format followed from 3-5 p.m. at the Wellington Athletic Center, located at 3520 Furlong Drive East in Flower Mound 75022.
