Donald L. Rouiller

1935-2021

Donald L. Rouiller, 85, of Abbotsford, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021 at Marshfield Medical Center. A graveside service for Donald will take place at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery on Friday, Sept. 3, 2021 at 2:30 p.m., with Father Patrick McConnell officiating. A visitation will take place at the Holy Rosary Social Center following the burial from 3 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Donald was born on Nov. 22, 1935 to Harold and Louise (Baumgartner) Rouiller in Medford. He attended Medford area schools and graduated from Taylor County Teachers College. He then taught for one year locally. He relocated to Wisconsin Rapids and worked in a paper mill before working at a grocery store. He returned to Medford and worked at Copps IGA. He then worked for Weather Shield, St. Vincent’s, and Taylor County Commission on Aging as a driver. He retired in 2017.

Donald is survived by his daughter, Donna (Brad) Meier of Stetsonville; and son, Tim Rouiller of Mesa, Ariz.; grandchildren, Holly (Justin) Miller of Appleton, Brandon (Jessica) Meier of Marshfield, Katie (Dillon) Braaten of Austin, Texas, Lindsey (Jacob) Gillis of Arvada, Colo., and Kelsey (Spencer DeBoard) Rouiller of Aravado, Colo.; great-grandchildren, Brody and Lauren Miller, Nora Meier, Charlie Braaten, and Everette and Margaret DeBoard.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his brother, James Rouiller.
