Tomczyk says climate change is real and will be devastating to entire world

Vox Pop

First, I will start with my years of watching and observing the American political system, the American government system. Starting with the president and vice president, I have noticed over the years when a first-time president and a first-time vice president, no matter the party affliction or political beliefs, within 10 minutes after being sworn in someone, somewhere recognizes the fact that the new administration has already guided the country into chaos, economic ruin and disaster. To make these words shorter, 10 minutes after taking the oath any new president will have lead the country into ruin. Only 10 minutes time. No matter the party affiliation.

Now I read in the Vox Pop the insinuation that Joe Biden is the cause of the increase in gas prices without offering any pros or cons, also without pointing out that over recent years, prices have fluctuated much above and much below the $3 level. It seems the price per gallon is very volatile with numerous different causes.

No doubt, his concerns are warranted along with inflation and other climbing prices, especially in our area of relatively stagnant wages.

I do not believe any concern over gas prices and their causes are the central point of that short letter. The real meat of the words and I quote directly from Vox Pop. “Could it be that Uncle Joe wants us to buy electric cars.” This is the real shame of the letter.

It appears the author somehow quietly wants to deny any recognition of climate change and its already disastrous consequences.

I see insinuation in those words that carbon dioxide and climate change are not a problem, that life can go on forever while we travel the same roads. They almost say burn fossil fuels, burn gas it will not destroy or change the atmosphere, life diversity, the plants and eventually mankind itself. That is what the letter appears to bring forward.

Then again, maybe I’m wrong. Maybe I’m taking more from that short letter than should be taken. Maybe the author does not deny any science behind climate change and what we now experience and recognizes the problem for what it is.

Do the first two paragraphs of this letter relate to his thoughts or the thoughts toward any new administration by how many different people?

If that is the case, and the author is not a climate change denier and just trying to make a statement about our current administration, it should be realized gas prices are not the real problem, but the western fires caused by lack of rain and excessive heat and our corresponding haze and smoke, year after year of higher temperatures with more and more broken records, the change in the length of growing seasons, migrant birds returning each spring a bit earlier, warming of the Great Lakes and toxic algae, stronger and harsher storms, rain events, heat waves, hurricanes, melting glaciers and ice caps adding to rising ocean levels causing more and larger human migrations within borders and across borders. These are the real problems. They must be addressed hard and strong by all people across the planet with cooperation with all other people.

To continue to deny and hold back corrective actions will only increase the magnitude of all the above, plus all that I have missed which most likely are many.

We, and I mean all people regardless of color, culture, religion or gender, have no right to deny any others or future people what we ourselves have wished and wanted from life. Yet, at this point in history, with very much climate change devastation (it has only just begin) in our future, with the lack of much more needed and stronger action from all the world governments, that is exactly what we are doing.

By not taking stronger action that we can and could take, we are almost telling our children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren to jump off a tall bridge into shallow water. I have put those last words mildly in a more more mellow framework.

I won’t write, “Heed my words.” Many others much before me have been putting those words to paper, they base their words upon science related research and the accumulated evidence and knowledge.
