Dale Alvin Fravert was born on Dec. 20, 1938, in the town of Beaver, rural Loyal, to Alvin J. and Eveline E. (nee Stange) Fravert. He was raised and received his education in the Loyal area, graduating from Loyal High School in 1957. While in high school, Dale worked at the Loyal Bowling Alley setting pins for .10 cents a night and two bottles of soda pop. He also ran the projector and did clean up at the Loyal movie theater. He was united in marriage to Angeline Luvjoy Lloyd at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal on March 12, 1960. They have lived in Loyal all of their married life together. Dale worked for Bud Seaman at his gas and LP station, until becoming employed as a patrolman for the Clark County Highway Department in July 1965, where he worked for 37 1/2 years. Dale was proud that during his employment with the Highway Department, he worked with his dad for 25 years, his Uncle Art for 25 years, and his brother Dennis for more than 31 years. At night, Dale bartended for Dahlkeā€™s Bar, Degenhardt Bar, the Loyal Bowling Alley, and the Corner Bar, all in Loyal. In 1978, Dale and Angie bought their own bar, and ran it for 6 1/2 years, while Dale still continued to work for the Highway Department. They called it the Fravert Place, which is now known as The Red Door. Dale retired from the Clark County Highway Department in January 2002. After retiring, he kept busy for many years mowing lawns with his grandson, Bo. In his spare time, Dale had many interests, but especially loved being with his family, fishing, bowling, playing sheepshead, deer and turkey hunting, the Packers, Brewers and NASCAR, and he especially enjoyed going for rides. He is a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal, where he was baptized, confirmed, and married.

Dale will be dearly missed by his wife Angie, of Loyal; his children: Cindy (Paul) Weyer, Vicki (Brian) Schreiner, and Scott (Rhonda) Fravert, all of Loyal; his grandchildren: Michael Weyer, Michele (Cain) Krug, Ceirra (Kory) Schuette, Kesler (fiancƩ Rachel Reis) Schuette, Hannah (fiancƩ Seth Baumgartner) Schreiner, Alexis Schreiner, Derek (Raquel) Fravert, Desiree Fravert, and Boden Fravert; one greatgrandson, Maverick, of Baldwin; his brother, Marlin (Barb) Fravert of Fort Worth, Texas; his sister, Karen (Ken) Boehnen of Marshfield; his sister-in-law, Sue Fravert of Loyal; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Dennis, on March 21, 2017.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be given in Daleā€™s name to Trinity Lutheran Church, the Loyal trout pond, or the Loyal Historical Society.
