Literacy Council makes Little Free Library challenge
Members of the Taylor County Literacy Council want to make sure people young and old continue reading over the summer months.
To add another layer of fun, the Literacy Council in cooperation with the Medford Area Public School District’s Special School and Family Engagement (SAFE) Series is sponsoring a summer tour of Little Free Libraries in the area.
Participants should get a copy of the Little Free Library activity guide sheet through the Medford School District office or a Literacy Council member. The sheet includes pictures and locations of Little Free Libraries in the county. Participants are asked to visit at least five Little Free Libraries in the county.
They should then write down the registration numbers from each Little Free Library onto the activity guide and once completed turn it into the Frances L. Simek Memorial Library in Medford for literacy prizes. Grand prizes will be awarded in August.
VISIT TAYLOR COUNTY’S LITTLE FREE LIBRARIES
Visit at least 5 of the Little Free Libraries between June 7 and August 13, writing down the registration number you find on the sticker. Take the completed form to the Simek Memorial Library, receive a small prize and register for a drawing.
