Dylan J. Reierson, 21, Medford, and John A. Peterson, 28, Edgar, were involved in an accident on March 12 at 11:30 p.m. in a parking lot at 1174 W. Broadway Ave. in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, the Peterson vehicle pulling out of a parking space when it struck and damaged the driver’s side front bumper on the Reierson vehicle in the adjacent parking space. There was no damage to the Peterson vehicle.
Becky M. Williams, 50, Medford, and Marian B. Krause, 72, Westboro, were involved in an accident on March 17 at 12:26 p.m. in a parking lot at 140 South Eighth St. in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, both vehicles were in the drive-through lane at McDonald’s when the Krause vehicle struck the back of the Williams vehicle. The report stated the Krause vehicle had a handicap tag and that the driver has is- sues with her leg. The report stated Krause claimed she had her foot on the brake when her vehicle lurched forward into the back of the Williams vehicle. Williams sustained possible injuries, but was not transported for medical treatment. A 3-year-old child in the vehicle was not injured. Both vehicles sustained damage to their respective ends. Failure to control by Krause was listed in the report as a factor in the accident.
Carmen Costilla, 20, Wausau, was involved in an accident on March 12 at 8:01 p.m. on County Line Road in the town of Deer Creek. According to the accident report, the Costilla vehicle was westbound on County Line Road when the driver swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway and the vehicle entered the north ditch. The report stated the ditch was frozen and hard and likely caused the vehicle to overturn since there was damage to the entire vehicle. The report stated the driver left the scene and was contacted later by law enforcement. A towing company was contacted to remove the vehicle. Speeding too fast for conditions and failure to keep in designated lane by Costilla were listed in the report as factors in the accident. She was issued citations for failure of operator to notify police of an accident and operating without a valid license-first offense.
Tyler D. Kochendorfer, 35, Medford, was involved in an accident on March 14 at 12:15 a.m. on Hwy 64 in the town of Hammel. According to the accident report, the Kochendorfer vehicle was eastbound on Hwy 64 approaching the intersection with CTH E to the north. The vehicle crossed the centerline and entered the north ditch where it struck a tree before coming to a stop. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and the front airbag deployed and was towed from the scene. The report stated Kochendorfer admitted he had consumed alcohol and completed a standardized field sobriety test (SFST) where he had a preliminary breath test (PBT) at the scene of 0.183 percent. The report stated Kochendorfer was arrested for operating while under the influencefi rst offense and cited for operating left of center. The report went on to state the registration for Kochendorfer’s vehicle was expired and that Kochendorfer stated he was waiting to receive an updated registration. The report stated Kochendorfer was issued a warning for non-registration of vehicle to prove issue has been corrected within 21 days.
Jamey G. Kree, 20, Medford, and an unknown vehicle were involved in a hit-and-run accident on February 24 in a parking lot at 845 Brucker St. in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on February 24, an unknown vehicle struck the Kree vehicle, which was parked in the parking lot. The unknown vehicle left the scene without reporting the accident.
Steven M. Schilling, 57, Medford and unknown vehicle were involved in a hit-and-run accident on March 14 in the parking lot at County Market, 160 Medford Plaza in the city of Medford. According to the accident report, sometime between 11 a.m. and noon on March 14, an unknown vehicle struck the rear tailgate of the legallyparked and unoccupied Schilling vehicle. The report stated the incident was not witnessed and the damage was not noticed by Schilling until March 18.
