His mind is made up! David Staudacher, Lake Holcombe Town Board supervisor, made the decision, March 13, about a matter that has been in limbo since the previous meeting.

What to do about a land transfer at the Holcombe Area Veterans Memorial site. Staudacher donated the parcel, but, keeping 30 feet of access on the west side, but the memorial is now encroaching on what the DNR says is wetland.

Therefore, Staudacher suggested swapping 30 feet on the west side, for 30 on the east side, but wasn’t sure that was the course he wanted to go and asked for time to think over the matter.

“Let’s go back to what I originally said,” said Staudacher.

Now, it only remains to be seen if the property needs to be surveyed.

“I’d be happy with driving two stakes in the ground,” said Staudacher.

The board also agreed on a division of land on 290th Avenue and updated the five-year road improvement plan. First on the list, is 290th Street, between and 250th and 260th.

“We’re going to do that this year,” said chairman Brian Guthman.
