Cadott is in need of more housing, which is why the village board approved zoning changes Sept. 3, for Falcon Heights, LLC, from Agricultural (A-1) to Single Family Residential Medium Density (R-2).

Based on a recommendation from the Planning and Development Committee recommendation, the zoning is south of East Hartford Street and west of South Spruce Street, with the conditions that the remaining property east and south shall be further subdivided, within one year of approval, or it will revert back to agricultural zoning. The changes are consistent with the village’s Comprehensive Plan. “It’s about 340 feet deep, which would allow two rows of parcels of residential development in the future,’” said Josh Miller, Cedar Corp.

The board also approved a preliminary certified survey map for Falcon Heights LLC.

Members also approved Ordinance 2024-4, amending the zoning ordinance for the village.

In addition, they also approved a site plan on State Hwy. 27, for Jon Bowe, for a 6,000 square foot accessory building, with storage on the site that is already there. Miller thought there may be another setback they had to worry about, but looked into the matter.

“There is not an additional setback,” said Miller.
