Start the school year off right, with an open house

Students and parents are invited to the annual Cadott Elementary School open house, prior to the start of school. The event takes place Tuesday, Aug. 27, from 7:30 to 3:30 p.m.

“This all-day event is the perfect opportunity for families to get ready for the upcoming school year, while enjoying time together,” said administrative assistant Kelly Brenny.

During the day, there will be professional photos taken for the school year (do not have the child wear green), as well as community resources. Representatives will be onhand to provide information and resources that families can utilize.

“This is a great way to connect with services available in our community,” said Brenny.

The day gives parents the opportunity to drop off their child’s school supplies in their classroom.

“This will help ease the first-day-of-school jitters and allow students to get settled in,” said Brenny. “This is a great time for a tour of our school at your own pace and familiarize yourself with the classrooms, playgrounds and other facilities.”

Lunch money can also be deposited into a child’s account during the event and staff will be available to assist with any questions about the lunch program.

“We encourage all families to attend,” said Brenny, “and take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to meet teachers, reconnect with friends and start the school year off on a positive note.”
