Rally the community all together for a good cause

If you like to ride ATVs/UTVs or are just a fan of seeing them on the roads, the annual Cornell Area ATV Riders ATV Rally is the right place to be Saturday, Aug. 24. The event happens from 6-10 p.m., in the block outside Huddle Up Pub on Cornell’s Main Street.
“Every year, the Cornell Area Club has a rally for ATV/ UTV enthusiasts to get together, show off their machines, and to promote recreational activities and riding that all ages can enjoy in the outdoors,” said club member Sandy Schecklman. “It also brings the community together to enjoy some great music and entertainment, plus raises funds for the club to continue to pay for signs, ATV trails and ATV education.”
Featuring live entertainment from Double Threat, there will be a beer tent, food, cash raffle and a 50/50 drawing at 8 p.m., with a DJ following the band. Whether or not someone owns an ATV/UTV, they can still enjoy the event. Older and newer models are welcome to display their vehicles, with a chance to win a trophy.
Proceeds from event will help the area, through donations to charities, service providers and others in need.
“It’s a great community event that benefits everyone,” said Schecklman.
