To save constant questions and confusion as to the schedule for the yard waste site, the Cadott Village Board agreed Aug. 5, to open the disposal place every Saturday, from April to October. If a problem arises, they can always look at revisiting the hours.
“Seeing we got cameras out there now, I think it’s foolish just to have it every other weekend,” said board president Randy Kuehni.
Members also agreed on action for a sampler refrigerator for the waste treatment plant; a new one would cost $15,000 or they can fix it for $4,600, with a quote from Joe’s Refrigeration. Public works director Jeremy Kenealy did have one other quote for less, but the parts would be ordered online, and did not include shipping or tax.
Trustee Louie Eslinger mentioned that Joe’s is local and guarantees work, if something went wrong.
The board also approved ATV/UTV permission on Main Street, for the annual Randy’s Ride, Aug. 17.
“I think it’s going to be just like last year, that we approved it for,” said Kuehni.
They also approved a street use permit for a private party, Aug. 26, from 6-8 p.m., with the alley closed between Main Street and the high school, which is behind the family’s house.
“I’m guessing it’s just going to be on their property,” said Kuehni.
During the meeting, trustee Ronnie Duncan reported that at the recent Library Board meeting, it was discussed that there has been no word on the grant application for full funding for a new library building. News on whether or not Cadott received funding, is expected in October.
“There are 100 people who applied for it,” said Duncan.
