The first time they were all in the same room after their respective babies were born just hours apart, it was all smiles and jubilee for the Blacks/ Coyles. Stories like this only happen in the movies, but for a Holcombe family, their real-life story played out better than anything on the big screen.

Tammy, 41, and Bill Black, 62, welcomed their new son, Cooper Eilliot Black, at 6:30 p.m., Feb. 27, at Marshfield Medical Center in Eau Claire. The next day, about 15 hours apart, the couple’s daughter, Amanda Black, and her finacé, Josh Coyle, welcomed their own bundle of joy – a little girl, Paisley Ray Coyle, at 9:06 a.m., Feb. 28, at the same hospital.

Both the family babies were delivered by the same doctor, David Hirsch, and were in rooms 301 and 302.

“It just happened like that,” said Tammy. Tammy’s due date was the day before Cooper was born, while Amanda was due March 21, but she had some complications, so after inducing with no luck, a C-section was needed and Paisley made an appearance.

“Everything was good,” said Amanda. “It could have gone so wrong so fast.”

Cooper weighed precisely 6 pounds and was 19 1/2 inches long, and Paisley was 7 pounds, 7 ounces, and was 19 1/2 inches long.

When everyone was in the same room at one time, it was hard to believe the family lines – mothers and daughters, fathers and daughters; sister and brother; uncles and niece; grandmother and granddaughter; grandfather and granddaughter.

“It’s just an amazing and incredible thing,” said Bill. Bill is especially grateful for the new arrivals, as he just survived cancer within the last year or so, to find out his wife and daughter were both pregnant at the same time. Tammy, who thought she couldn’t have a baby anymore, was surprised, but happy, to learn she was expecting little Cooper.

“He’s a blessing for sure,” said Tammy. Now that the families are home and adjusting to the additions, the future promises to be filled with a lot of adventures as the two babies grow up, side by side.

“Being older in life, I’ve had so much fun raising Amanda and Isaaih (son), and now I get a chance at Cooper and Paisley,” said Bill. “My next few years are going to be pretty well consumed.”

Dr. David Hirsch even delivered both the babies, which were in rooms 301 and 302, born at the same hospital, less than 15 hours apart. Submitted Photos[/caption]
