Raeanne S. Heier, 19, Abbotsford, was involved in an accident on April 3 at 1:55 a.m. on CTH S in the town of Aurora. According to the accident report, the Heier vehicle was eastbound on CTH S when the driver swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway. The driver overcorrected, lost control and the vehicle entered the south ditch where it appeared to have rolled over before coming to a stop in an upright position. There was disabling damage to the entire vehicle. Running off the roadway; swerving or avoiding due to wind, slippery surface, motor vehicle, object or non-motorist in roadway; and over-correcting/over steering by Heier were listed in the report as factors in the accident. She was issued citations for failure of operator to notify police of an accident and failure to keep vehicle under control.
Chad A. Sommer, 39, Ogema, was involved in an accident on April 6 at 7 a.m. on CTH C in the town of Browning. According to the accident report, the Sommer vehicle was northbound on CTH C when the driver fell asleep. The vehicle entered the west ditch and struck a tree. Sommer sustained suspected minor injuries, but was not transported for medical treatment. The vehicle sustained disabling damage to the front, left front corner, left side front and left side middle. It was towed from the scene. Failure to control, running off the roadway and other contributing actions by Sommer were listed in the report as factors in the accident. He was issued a citation for inattentive driving.
Aaron A. Julian, 20, Medford, was involved in an accident on April 8 at 5:22 p.m. on Faber Lane in the town of Goodrich. According to the accident report, the Julian vehicle was eastbound on Faber Lane when the driver fell asleep. The vehicle entered the south ditch and struck a culvert, causing it to roll multiple times before coming to a stop on its roof. Julian sustained possible injury, but was not transported for medical treatment. There was disabling damage to the entire vehicle. Running off the roadway, failure to keep in designated lane and other contributing actions by Julian were listed in the report as factors in the accident. He was issued a citation for failure to keep vehicle under control.
The following deer-related accident was reported: Jennifer C. Capps, 48, Wisconsin Rapids, on April 10 at 7:39 p.m. on Hwy 73 in the town of Taft.
