Fasbender provides stellar example of a good citizen

By Ginna Young It takes a special person to be named as the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen and that honor for Lake Holcombe School, belongs to senior Hunter Fasbender. Fasbender was selected by teachers and peers, because he possesses the qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism, in his home, school and community.
“It makes me feel like something I’m doing matters,” said Fasbender.
As a member of the archery program, Fasbender is there to lend a hand at practice and tournaments, and works concession stands, to earn money for equipment for the sport. He’s also part of LH Products, a student-run business, and is planning for an upcoming craft show, which is a big undertaking.
Fasbender enourages younger students to try to help people, and wants to see them get involved and make a difference.
“Just help at every opportunity you can,” said Fasbender. “That’s a really important thing.”
