When someone is chosen for the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen Award, it means they exhibit qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism, in their homes, schools and communities. An individual is chosen by teachers and their student peers, for exhibiting these qualities.

Those qualities were recognized in senior Warren Bowe, who has achieved much on the baseball field, but more importantly, is a good person in the community.

“Feels good to know that my work hasn’t gone unnoticed,” said Bowe, who says he is grateful to his parents, for providing an exemplary influence for him.

Bowe also encourages other students to attain what is important to them and to excel in whatever they do.

“Believe in yourself,” said Bowe,” if you want to do something, work really hard for it.”
