A place on the podium for Grewe, Halopka

The Abbotsford/Colby wrestling co-op was well represented at the 79th annual WIAA state individual tournament over the weekend. The tournament returned to the Kohl Center on the campus of UW - Madison after COVID-19 forced the state meets to be moved to three separate locations last year. Carter Grewe and sophomore Tanner Halopka etched their name into the Abby/Colby wrestling programs history books, finishing fourth in state, Grewe in the 195 weight class and Halopka in the 145 pound weight class. Halopka has two more years to win a state title, while Grewe will wrestle for NCAA D-1 program Northern Illinois next year.
