One dead in Marathon town crash

A motorist was killed in a car crash that occurred Monday night at the intersection of CTH N and B in the town of Marathon, according to the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies arrived on scene at the 8:15 p.m. accident to find one person dead. A second individual was transported by SAFER EMS to a local hospital for nonlife threatening injuries.

The Wisconsin State Patrol, Marathon Fire Department and the Marathon County Medical Examiner’s Office were present at the scene.

The crash is being investigated by the Marathon County Crash Reconstruction Team.
