Heather Lynn Reese
1974-2024
Heather Lynn Reese, age 50, of Fitchburg, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, in Madison. She was born on Jan. 6, 1974, in Minocqua, the daughter of Kenneth Schnorr and Judy Roberts. She was united in marriage to Eric Reese on Feb. 5, 2011, in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands Heather grew up in the Medford area and graduated from Medford High School. She attended UW-Stout and UW-Madison Law school graduating in 2002. She worked as an associate with Stroud Willink & Howard LLC and Murphy Desmond SC prior to joining Wisconsin Public Media in 2010 and becoming Executive Director in 2022.
She enjoyed camping, hiking, traveling with family and friends, and fishing, especially chasing musky with her late husband, Eric.
Heather is survived by her father, Kenneth Schnorr; stepmother, Rita Schnorr; brothers, Douglas Schnorr and Dan (Courtney) Schnorr; stepdaughters, Megan Reese and Emily Reese; aunt, Linda Kenny; uncle, Mike Roberts; step grandmother, Alice Roberts; and cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Judy Roberts; husband, Eric Reese; and grandparents.
A Celebration of Heather’s life will be at a later date.
