Loyal Dollar General store may open as soon as November

After Loyal’s main thoroughfare is complete by November, a new discount store will be opening its doors for business. The store, Dollar General, will be the first retail chain store to operate in Loyal, with plans to open in early November.
An official groundbreaking ceremony for the Dollar General building project was held on July 24. Some of the people present at the ceremony were members of the Loyal Chamber of Commerce, Clark County Board representative Gordie Haselow, Shelia Nyberg of Clark County Economic Development Corporation, city of Loyal Mayor Dave Williams and general contractor of the project, Tony Piette.
The Dollar General building is currently being built on East Elm Drive across from and north of Northside Elevator. Already two weeks into the project, the building site now has a 9,600-square foot slab of concrete for the building’s base. Once the store is built, about 9,200 square feet will be used for retail space.
