Greenwood’s pay-out to ex-administrator now over
The Greenwood School District will pay almost $150,000 less than it could have under a release and resignation agreement it signed last year with former district administrator Jennifer Vogler. Vogler notified the district in mid-April that she would be starting a new job on July 1, which releases the district from paying her further under the agreement that followed her resignation last October.
The district paid Vogler $113,519.50 in salary and benefits from when she resigned effective Oct. 31, 2014, through July 1. Under terms of the release and resignation agreement, the district was legally bound to pay Vogler her full salary and benefits for the remainder of her contract, which ran through Sept. 12, 2016, unless she found new and comparable employment. Had she not found employment, the district would have been obligated to pay her an additional $148,493.46 in salary and benefits. Vogler started work as the district administrator for the Wabeno School District on July 1.
