Granton will survey community on swimming pool options

A clearer picture of each project option facing the Granton School District for its upcoming swimming pool project was presented to the School Board Monday night. With the information gained, the Board was able to take another step in determining the events leading up to the referendum, planning a survey to narrow down their options.
The estimated cost and coverage of three options were presented and explained by Luke Schultz and Tad Beeksma of CESA 10. With each option, the pair asked the Board to provide feedback to address possible problems and concerns.
Option one, they said, will be to fix the current pool to bring it up to code, including resealing of pipes leading to the pool, replacing the pumps, boiler and dehumidifiers and meeting American with Disabilities Act standards. The project is estimated to cost $750,000.
