Dismissal sought in murder-for-hire case
An attorney for a 77-year-old Spencer woman who allegedly assisted her granddaughter in breaking a court no-contact order connected to an attempted homicide case has filed a motion to dismiss the charges against his client. In his motion filed on July 13, attorney Karl Schmidt claims the complaint filed against Sharon Klimmer is “defective” because it does not contain “essential facts” necessary to support the charges.
Klimmer is the grandmother of 21-year-old Porscha Rizzi, the Spencer woman facing two charges of conspiracy to commit first-degree intentional homicide for allegedly contacting two different men and asking them to kill her two ex-boyfriends. Shari Klimmer, 47, Rizzi’s mother and Sharon Klimmer’s daughter, was also arrested in early November for taking part in the plot to kill the men, both of whom with Rizzi has young children.
