Clark Sheriff’s Department busts alleged meth lab near Granton

A rural Granton couple was arrested last week and is being held on multiple charges for the alleged operation of a methamphetamine lab in the basement of their home.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant shortly after 8:30 a.m. on June 28 at the home at W3289 Timberlane R. in the township of York, a few miles north of Granton. The search warrant was a result of an ongoing investigation by the sheriff’s office.
Upon searching the residence, an operating methamphetamine lab was discovered in the basement. The state Division of Criminal Investigation responded to the scene with the Granton Area Fire Department, a clean-up team from Chicago later that evening, and the Clark County Humane Society.
