NGL sends almost everybody to sectional meet

The Neillsville-Greenwood-Loyal wrestling team will not be able to take a van to the Feb. 20 WIAA Division 2 sectional meet in Osceola. It’s going to take a bus to get all the qualifiers there.
In dominating the competition at the Feb. 13 regional meet held in Neillsville, the Warriors advanced 12 of their 14 wrestlers to the next level, with a chance to move on to the Feb. 25-27 state tournament in Madison. NGL took individual titles in five weight classes and advanced seven more wrestlers by virtue of runner-up finishes.
Spencer-Columbus, wrestling in Division 2 this season after reinstating the 2-school co-op, qualified seven wrestlers for the Osceola meet. Three Rockets advance as regional champions and four more are moving on as runners-up.
